Shave the area to be treated 2 days before. Do not use creams lotions and be sure that the skin is not cut or bleeding. This is best done by being very gentle during the shaving of the hair. IPL laser system works best on skin which is light and has a good contrast between the colour of the hair (dark hair) and the colour of the skin (white skin). Thats because the laser detects the contrast and blasts the dark hair avoiding contact with the white area (your skin). Those with darker skin may consider a treatment which uses YAG light.
